White Stallion Ranch
We got the whole family up at 4am for a 7:10am flight from National to Phoenix and eventually to Tucson, AZ. My dad turns 70 in a couple of weeks and we suprised him at the airport in Phoenix by “showing up”. He thought he was going with Mom and a few of their friends, but instead we showed up dawning fun masks that hid our faces (thankfully airport security did not notice).
Then in Tucson, my brother showed up as he flew in from Seattle. We got him again :-)
It was a long day, but by 2pm Tucson time, we were riding horses across the desert. Then around 4pm, we enjoyed a practice rodeo put on by a bunch of the staff at White Stallion Ranch, many of whom were professional rodeo competitors.
Oh, and the ranch has WiFi :-) Enjoy the pictures.

my son and i are going to the white stallion in may. this will be my 8th time. i have been searching the web for reviews and pictures and find your blog to be superior to all the rest. i loved the pictures of russell true and wranglers carol and jill or is it chrystol. you are quite a good photogapher. i enjoyed all your pictures. i can tell your family enjoyed their vacation and really got into the western spirit. terrific. the first time my son went to the ranch he was just 6 weeks old and now he’s 12 and he can’t wait to get back to the ranch. thanks again for a wonderful blog.
Thank you for your nice comments. I appreciate it a lot. I am jealous that you get to go to the ranch! We had a wonderful time. My family wants to go back again very soon. Make sure you get to the Saguaro National Park while you are there. It was beautiful.
