Thomas Kranzel Cinematography - Stop Motion

I have been playing around with some stop motion stuff as my Nikon D200 has a built in intervelometer and its fun to see the results.

But check out this guy’s work! Click on the image below and then click the TIME LAPSE button near the top left of his home page. Wow!

    Wow, so beautiful! Thanks Carl!

It reminded me of another (boring, yet strangely fascinating) time-lapse site: Cheddarvision.tv, where you can watch a wheel of cheddar cheese age in real time.

A time lapse video showing the first three months of the maturing process can be seen on YouTube:

That is great stuff. I love the desert where the rainbow forms.

I thought the rainbow forming was a neat one too. But I also like the shots with the stars moving overhead. I am guessing he had to do several minute exposures for each of the frames. Must have taken hours of sitting around for those shots. And I wonder how many of them got messed up by clouds or fog rolling in at just the wrong moment :-)
