Girls on the Run
My daughter, Anna, joined her school’s Girls on the Run team this year. Basically it is a group of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders who get together before or after school to train for a 5K run. Girls on the run is a national organization and they promote fitness for kids.
Today was the last day of training and the entire group got together for one final run around the school soccer field. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and how far the kids have come in their ability. Saturday is the race, a 5K around the Reston Town Center.
It was a beautiful sunset and I captured some nice pix of the runners. Enjoy!
